Let's see, there are three more issues of this current miniseries, Strange Detractors coming after that, and then D'Argo's Lament coming in April....  I'm totally jazzed by the idea of a D'Argo/Jool story set between Revenging Angel and Fractures!  I love Jool!  And I'm lovin' the covers we're seeing for all these books!

I think this is a very good omen for more Farscape that Boom! has commissioned so many more books on the strength of the sales of just the first issue!!!  (I know my comic store is out of issue #1 again -- they got 25 in initially, and a second order (not sure how many, but I'd say at least 15 more!) -- and they are completely out!  And I only bought 20 of them, LOL!)

Strange Detractors sounds like it's going to be some of the more wacky variety of Farscape, while this first one seems more fairly straight adventure (though we'll see where it goes as we get more story).

So, let me get this straight. All of these new Farscape comics, the one with D'Argo and the Strange Detracters etc., are NOT part of the series that just came out. Right?

I think each 4-comic series is sort of a standalone "tale".  So ... yes.  ;)

Yup, these are separate 4-issue miniseries.  It looks like the D'Argo one is going to overlap with Strange Detractors, so we'll have two stories running at the same time.  agreed

Okay, I have to be honest.  I don't care about D'Argo and Jool.  guilty  (I'm a BAD Farscape fan.  sosad )  I'm going to have to think long and hard about whether I'm going to bother buying that story line.  Strange Detractors has me intrigued though.

First, LOL, krad has a great explanation here of the three storylines:  http://terrafirmascapers.com/index.php/topic,28349.msg551063.html#msg551063

Beth!  Bad Fan, Bad Fan!   devil  Seriously, if you're not interested, you're not interested....  Oddly, I find I am.  I really like Jool, and I'd be curious to see what Krad will do with essentially an "episode filler."  Not to mention, it's incredibly easy for me to get them, so it's not like it's an effort.  So, I have hopes that I'll actually enjoy the heck out of it.  I may not, LOL!  But at least Rockne's keeping an eye on the storyline...

Beth's not the only bad fan. *g* I do like D'Argo but Jool was never a favorite. I didn't hate her, just kind of nothing there for me. And I think, deep down, they could have gotten rid of any character on the show but John and Aeryn and I'd been okay with it, at least after a while. Thaat said though, I did love the minds of the Farscape Powers that be (most of the time) so it'll be interesting to see what they do with the story lines and characters. I'll know better after I read the next ones whether I'll get more.

LOL, well, since we're all J/A shippers here (it says so in the welcome message!   ;D ), it will come as no surprise to you that I completely agree with you that they could have gotten rid of anyone but John and Aeryn and I would have been okay with it.  (Goes along with the mantra I used to chant at the TV screen as Babylon 5 played out:  "You can do anything you want, Joe, blow up earth if that's where you're going, but don't mess with Sheridan and Delenn!!!!")

I guess where we differ is that I actually liked Jool, and I missed her in Season 4.  I missed Zhaan, and I'll probably miss D'Argo going forward.  The two characters who never jelled for me, and who never added any value to the show as far as I was concerned, are Sikozu and Noranti.  It's not because they were only there one season -- Jool was only there for season 3, but I got to like her quite a bit.  They just didn't work for me, and I have no interest in them.  If Boom! were to announce a comic series about Noranti's past or one about Scorpius and Sikozu between BT and PKW....I wouldn't be interested.  Mind you, I'd buy them, because a) I'm a completist, and b) I want to encourage Boom! and Henson to do more Farscape, but I doubt I'd read 'em.

So, I totally see where you're coming from on Jool and D'Argo.  That was a long way to get there, eh?   laugh
