A couple of weeks ago, I have Mason Williams' Classical Gas stuck in my head.

And with the purchasing of the new sacred portal of all things internet (suped up new desktop machine with a DVD burner installed) and a yearning burning desire to waste a lot of time, and of course, knowing that soon I will be an aunt and that there will be MANY videos of the new kidlet taken by adoring parents, aunts, and grandparents, I wanted to learn how to edit and mess with stuff...

Why not try a vid, and exorcise the damn vidding demon from my brain stem?

Didn't quite work, as I keep wanting to tweak it, and do others (damn, I have a whole series of 'clips' in mind for Beathoven's 7th symphony, the second movement - I've created a monster).

Also, in an endeavor, as previously posted today, to put all of my eggs into one basket, I bought web space and a domain.  In part, so I can have a place to host BAF (big ass files) without screwing up my inky dinky web site.

SO, without futher ado...

http://www.cretkid.com/vids/evolution.rar

This is a RAR archive file, about 34 Mb in size; in it is an AVI file made with an Xvid codec.  For those of you that fall into the problem where you can't view a vid or what have you, someone once suggested to me - rather than looking for the multitude of codecs required by the many variations of vids - to download VLC media player.  It's a multiplatform program that pretty much opens everything.

It can be found here:

Happy hunting.
