Silly question

Why are the bunny buttons next to ac, crash, marg etc in the fic board darker than the other buttons, mine included? I thought at first that it meant that they had posted, but when I posted nothing changed so I can't figure it out.  It just seems odd...

It means there are new posts that YOU haven't seen.  So your button shows up dark for me, because I haven't been in your board, but you've been there (doing the posting!), so to YOU it looks light.  If you go into my board (or Crash's or Auna's), and then go out again, you'll see that now the bunny is light.    There are three levels -- dark means new posts in the main board, medium means new posts in a child board, light means no new posts (that you haven't seen).

TF works the same way.

If you go to the bottom of the board and click on "Mark All As Read", ALL the bunnies will get light.

Well...Duh. How stupid am I? LOL I never payed any attention to light and dark buttons at TF. But here is really showed up so I got curious. Thanks for the explanation and the instructions.

Not stupid.  Just not something you've looked at before, LOL!  Gee, how many years was it before I realized that if you click on the "new" button beside a post title, it would take you to the first new reply?  I felt like such an idiot!

I created a bookmark that takes me directly to ALL my unread topics.  I rarely even start my day at TF on the Home page.  I just go directly to the display of everything that's been posted since I was there last.  From there, I can check anything that looks important, and then wander around the rest of the forum in a more leisurely fashion.
